MetricFire is a monitoring and observability platform that enables users to collect, analyze, visualize, and alert on data from various sources. MetricFire can effortlessly ingest data from Excel files and CSV files, using one of many programming languages. The following steps outline the basic process:

Extract data from Excel files by using a programming language like Python, Java, Ruby, or #C. These languages provide libraries and modules, such as Pandas, Apache POI, FasterCSV, or CsvHelper that facilitate the extraction of data from Excel.

Once the data is extracted, it may require cleaning, type conversion, or reformatting to adhere to MetricFire’s Graphite metric format. This ensures compatibility and consistency when visualizing and analyzing data within MetricFire's Hosted Graphite platform.

As long as the data fits the Graphite format, sent to MetricFie's carbon endpoint (carbon.hostedgraphite.com 2003). If it does not fit, it may require effort on the client’s end with a custom script or process.
